The Nov. 22, 2014, story “Failing grade for child custody laws” in The Daily Independent in Ashland, Kentucky, reported on National Parents Organization’s Shared Parenting Report Card.
The story focused on Kentucky’s grade of D- and quoted National Parents Organization of Kentucky Chair Matt Hale.
“The only reason Kentucky didn’t get an ‘F’ was because there is one statute that mentions joint custody is allowed, but it doesn’t define what joint custody is or mention shared parenting,” Hale said in the article.
