New Hampshire State Representative David Bickford, a longtime fighter for shared parenting and fairness for fathers, has asked our supporters to send emails in support of HB139, New Hampshire’s Comparable Parenting bill. To send an email to all five house subcommittee members who will vote on this bill, click here.
The bill will be decided by a subcommittee of the House Children and Family Law Committee as early as March 10.
Through Bickford’s efforts, in 2005 a similar shared parenting legislation passed the NH house unanimously. Bickford says:
When a parent asks for equal or near equal time to raise children after separation or divorce, this bill requires the court to make a decision based on evidence, as opposed to a guardian ad litem imposing personal values, which too often results in every other weekend for dad.
