The founder and chair of National Parents Organization Ned Holstein, MD, MS, tells WBSM News the new guidelines are a good starting point but there is more that needs to be done. The new Massachusetts Child Support Guidelines result in an average 11% decrease for single child families while families with two children will see a 6% decrease. Even with the decrease, Massachusetts parents pay 63% higher child support than neighboring states. The difference for low-income families is 135%.
