The movement afoot in New Jersey to force family court judges to recognize and punish Parental Alienation has a petition at Change.org that needs your signature. Parental alienation is widely recognized by mental health professionals as child abuse because of its potential to do lasting emotional damage to children. Not only that, it damages the emotional well-being of the targeted parent and makes a mockery of family court parenting orders. As long as family courts allow alienating parents to separate kids from targeted parents, the scourge of PA will continue. By contrast, family courts that are knowledgeable about and responsive to acts of parental alienation can put a stop to it.
