Los Angeles, CA–On Celebrity Rehab Sean Stewart (Rod Stewart’s son, pictured) recently said:
I attribute my problems and addiction to that fact that all I wanted was for my parents to stay together and have a normal family life.
Sean was Rod’s child from his first marriage, which lasted only five years (1979-1984). I’m certainly not going to say that this erases Sean Stewart’s responsibility for his problems.
However, these sad words doubtlessly echo to one degree or another the sentiments of millions of children (and adult children) of divorce. In a culture which tells us that divorce is no big deal, it’s a message we need to hear more often.
